No strings attached is harder than it seems for Master Mitch and sweet, submissive Domi...

When Master Mitch proposes becoming friends-with-benefits, Domi can't find any downsides to such an arrangement. As a single mom with no time for a relationship, she's content with leaving everything about her desires at the club. And despite his playboy reputation, Mitch is definitely the kind of capable Dom who can give her everything she needs.

She's sweet, she's sassy, and she has an incredible ability to take everything he can give her. So why shouldn't Master Mitch want Domi for his very own? But with each scene, Mitch is surprised to find that he craves more than just Domi's submission. Before long, it's clear that the pair is tied up in something more binding than either anticipated. Can Mitch convince Domi that it's safe to trust him outside of Stronghold and Marquis?

Can he convince her that she’s all he wants?

Bondage Buddies is the first book in the Masters of Marquis series. Domi and Mitch have the perfect non-relationship, until Domi realizes that her emotions are being pulled into their arrangement. When she breaks it off between them, not wanting to hurt either, Mitch has to decide what he truly wants. Is Domi it for him? Can he convince her that she’s all he wants? Oh my goodness, I absolutely adored reading this book! There were plenty of steamy scenes, but I also loved how both characters needed to learn how to open up, how a relationship might work between them, how friendships can be an amazing basis for love, but fighting for what they want is truly what will make a difference. Mitch and Domi had this incredible connection that you could feel through the pages, but I loved that both characters messed up and grew within this book. Domi is a mom with a huge fortress built around her heart. She tries so hard to keep her lives separate, but she also needs to learn how to combine them. Mitch grew up watching what didn’t work in a relationship and what he didn’t want for his future, but I loved that when he put his mind to things, he really put forth his full effort. I loved him as a Dom and as a person. I think one of my favorite things about this book was that as Domi and Mitch learned more about each other, so did we as the readers. I thought that was really clever! I loved them together! While there are connections to some of Ms. Angel’s other series, this book did a fantastic job of reading as a stand alone. I never felt lost or disconnected. I also really enjoyed that this book left just enough breadcrumbs that left me really excited about the future of this series and what direction everything might take! I loved reading this book!

Another delightful read from Golden Angel!

Angel's Stonghold books always delight! Throughout the whole Stronghold series (I realized whilst reading Bondage Buddies that I’ve missed a couple books along the way--dangit!), the characters have always been believable, fun, sometimes flawed but always relatable. Each book in the series has a subtle, just under the radar theme that really focuses on building a character. While subtle it’s one of the things that makes me enjoy the book in the Stronghold series that much more. For me the theme in Bondage Buddies was about all the different types of relationships the characters have. Now don’t worry, you've totally got those super hawt, extra creative love scenes Ms Angel is known for (a lot of ‘em!), but it's also the more subtle character moments that really make Bondage Buddies work for me and hopefully you. I love that this book really explored ALL types of relationships. Our leads, Domi and Mitch start off their story arc with the agreement they don't want theirs to be a typical relationship. This means no dating, no commitment, no emotional entanglements...they just want to be bondage buddies with all the fun benefits. This means they can meet, play and leave without all the typical relationship obligations. And that's fine for them. Until suddenly it isn't. No matter how hard Mitch and Domi try to not be in a relationship, this whole book is about that--an exploration and revelation of relationships. Angel allows us to follow along as her characters find that no matter how much they don't want a relationship--they’re actually in a lot of them--most comiplicated. The story shows us the fun, sometimes poignant relationships Mitch and Domi have outside of just their arrangement. There’s great moments with each character's parents, Domi’s child, Ana, the friends Mitch plays football with, there’s even a relationship with food--after a crisis Domi cooks up all the comfort food her Puerto Rican would make, and of course, the colorful and wonderfully written side characters in both Mitch and Domi's club life. No matter how much the characters say they didn’t want to be in a relationship, it's fun to watch their journey as they realize that a relationship with each other is exactly what they need and what will make them happy. They were content to be just Bondage Buddies at first--a strictly no-relationship relationship --until they realized that a deeper relationship and each other was exactly what they needed. You’ll have a great read with this one!

If you are reading this review and you have never read Golden’s work, then you better get on it. She is fabulous and this book is another hit. The dynamic between the characters is great. I connect to Domi so much because it is hard to give up control as a single mom. And it’s hard to get back on the market after taking care of babies and kids. But Mitch is exactly what she needs. Do yourself a favor and read this book!!

What a great way to start a new series with a new group of friends and the club Marquis! I love that Domi is a mom who coparents with her child’s father and that they have a great relationship with each other. I love this new group of friends who have each other’s back and keep it honest while still having their funny moments. And it’s always nice seeing glimpses of the couples from the previous series, Stronghold. Can’t wait to get to know this group of friends and explore more of the club Marquis!

Great start to a new series by Golden Angel. While you will have a chance to see some old friends from other series, Golden Angel gives you a great stand-alone story for Mitch and Domi that is perfect way to introduce this new series! These characters feel real and could be your friends already. Are there ups and downs in this relationship? Yes. Do you root for the characters to stay on that roller coaster? Yes. Is there humor all along the way? Yes. Do yourself a favor, and get this book for some good, kinky fun!

So much more than *just* Bondage Buddies

Oh my goodness— I could not put this story down! Golden Angel takes us back to the Stronghold world this first full story focused on Marquis and the beloved Baby Doms! Mitch and Domi bring humor, heat and heart as they navigate being more than just naughty friends with benefits. This story made me laugh at Mitch’s antics and made my heart ache as he and Domi both delve into their commitment phobias. And then Angel goes and drops some serious surprises (yes- plural), that made me sit up and go “Oh My God!”. Bondage Buddies weaves new inside jokes in with lines that we’ve loved since the Venus School days, all while setting a grand stage for us to meet the rest of the Masters of Marquis

Mitch and Domi

Totally loved this book. I loved the entire Stronghold series and this just builds on it. You get a glimpse of older characters but it doesn’t take away from this story. Mitch and Domi become “bondage buddies” then realize they have feelings for each other and want more. It’s not without trial and error, but it does end in HEA.

Bondage Buddies - Wow!

Wow! I loved this book. Mitch (sadist) and single mom Domi (masochist) think they have come up with the perfect relationship solution - that is no relationship, they’ll just be Bondage Buddies. They will scene with each other at Stronghold or Marquis, not necessarily exclusively, but they have first dibs on each other. Nothing outside the club. What could go wrong? Can they get over their own road blocks to find happiness with each other? Fortunately they have friends who are not afraid to give them some tough love to help them along the way. Mitch and Domi are more than complimentary in the dungeon - his sadist know just how to get the heat going in Domi's masochistic body. He knows how to give her what she needs, even if it isn’t what she wants during a punishment (not a funishment). The sex scenes are off the charts hot. I also loved when he brought the dating romance into the dungeon. How does a couple who have been having sex and fun as Bondage Buddies switch things over to romance and a relationship when they decide to give it a go? Mitch has hang ups due to his own parent's relationship and Domi wants to keep her sex/dating life separate from her home life with her daughter. I have to say that Domi has one of the most responsible and mature co-parenting situations I’ve ever read about in a book. Loved that it was portrayed that way. I was pulling for these two to figure it out. To figure out that you are always stronger together. There were definitely times I have to put my iPad down and tell myself they'll get through this, but that just shows how invested you get in the characters. One of the main reasons that I enjoy Golden Angel's books are that the characters seem so real. They could be your neighbors. Supporting characters aren’t necessarily glossed over either - many either have or will have their own books and you find yourself becoming interested in what will happen to them as well. Mitch and Domi have great friends. Mitch went through Dom 101 with Brian, Zach, and Kincaid. Domi's best friend Rae accompanied her to Sub 101 so she wouldn’t be alone. Rae is interested in Brian although she’s having a very hard time coming to grips with that fact that his kink turns her on. Domi and Rae realize they haven’t really tried to bond with other submissive and reach out to Avery, a soul chef at Marquise who is trying to figure out if kink is still something she is interested in. I'm definitely looking forward to reading their stories and finding out how Mitch and Domi are doing.

New series with some familiar friends

It was like coming home (to our friends from Stronghold) while we get a new present (Club Marquis). Mitch and Domi had met during Sub 101 and made a connection. We wanted to see them together, but wham, they both are relationship-phobic. So Bondage Buddies works (a bit like Friends with Benefits). But six months later, are things still the same for both of them. Surprise, surprise, feelings happened. Can they overcome this shocking turn of events. Can they learn to communicate outside of the dungeon. And the twists and shocks I was never expecting kept me on my toes. The first book from the new series was amazeballs and I am so waiting for about four or five more books from this series, at the minimum. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Perfect Start to Marquis

Mitch and Domi! I knew they were coming and had been eagerly anticipating their story. In true Golden Angel fashion she wrote a book that absolutely enthralled me. Characters with depth and chemistry off the charts. Plus you have to love her sense of humor that comes through into the books with so many laugh out loud moments. And naturally the ah-ha moment when you finally figure out something that probably should have been a little obvious but you were paying too much attention to the story to think. This has been one of my favorite reads so far in 2021!!

Another hit

If you are reading this review and you have never read Golden’s work, then you better get on it. She is fabulous and this book is another hit. The dynamic between the characters is great. I connect to Domi so much because it is hard to give up control as a single mom. And it’s hard to get back on the market after taking care of babies and kids. But Mitch is exactly what she needs. Do yourself a favor and read this book!!

Wow!!

Worth it!
